Creating A Productive Morning Routine
If you're like a lot of Americans, you probably have to hit the snooze button a couple of times in the morning before you finally get up and start your day. You may not even sit down for breakfast, opting instead to make a quick cup of coffee and eat a bagel on the commute to work. Sure, you're getting a couple more winks of sleep, but at what cost? Rushing around like a crazy person in the morning just sets you up for a stressful day.

You'd be surprised how much of a difference a relaxed morning routine can make. Some of the world's most successful people swear by their morning routines. Why not try it out? Don't worry, you won't be wasting time. In fact, you'll be making more of it. Here are some suggestions:

Wake Up Earlier
Your life does not revolve around work, so why center your morning around just work? Go to sleep a little earlier so you can wake up earlier, even if its just 15 minutes at first. Stretch, do a little yoga if you have the time, make breakfast for yourself and the family, read up on news, relax with a cup of tea. Don't just rush to work. Have that “you time” in the morning, and remember that your life is yours first.

Make It A Motivational Morning
Watch a TED talk or read an inspiring book. Starting the day on a positive note will not only put you in a good mood but it will also motivate you to focus on what you really want out of life. Wake up pumped for your workday with a “can-do” attitude!

Exercise
Don't have time to go to the gym after work? Wake up an hour or so earlier and go to the gym, jog around the neighborhood with your dog, or do some home workouts. You'll get an energy boost in the morning, and you'll get your exercise out of the way for the day! Just remember to eat something small beforehand for adequate energy.

Journal
Start your day by setting your personal intentions. Get a little introspective, meditate on how grateful you are for your blessings in life. Remember why it is you do what you do everyday.
