Job Description
The Senior Director, Safety and Facilities manages the development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs that will assure well-managed, well-maintained buildings, facilities, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, in coordination and conjunction with the goals and objectives of the business. Maintains and updates the corporate Injury and Illness Prevention Plan I2P2. Focuses on the execution of tactical and operational plans with short-term to mid-term impact that align with organizational goals and objectives. Creates and updates topic-specific safety trainings and plans that reflect changing field operations to reduce risk levels and maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Oversees the facilities of the corporate office building and all other company office locations by ensuring building systems are properly maintained, serviced, and current emergency plans are in place. Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. Influences others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership. Develops, implements, and periodically revises corporate health, safety, and environment policies and procedures to identifymitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace. Reviews and adheres to both federal and state occupational safety and health standards to remain in compliance. Collaborates with the Training department to reviewupdate safety training content and assignment of training based on job dutiespositions. Evaluates and audits necessary actions e.g., attend risk control workshops, participate in sponsored monthly webinars, etc. to maintain current and in good standing with Affinity Captive Insurance program. Administers internal self-inspections in preparation for annual external audits. Investigates accidents and determines if they are OSHA recordable. Skills Required
HS Diploma or GED. 10+ yrs exp in Occupational Safety and Health, Operations, Facilities Mgmt or similar. Exp with OSHA and EPA guidelines. 5+ yrs of mgmt exp. Proficient in MS Office.
Skills Preferred
BA Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or similar. Fleet management exp. Certified Safety Professional CSP or Certified Facility Manager CFM certifications.
