| Job Description The Director, Accounting and Finance will play an important role in partnering with the leadership team in operations and strategic decision making as the company continues to enhance its quality programming. This is a tremendous opportunity for an accounting and finance leader to maximize and strengthen the internal capacity of a well-respected, high-impact organization. Oversee the general accounting function, which includes inter-organization accounting, cash managementreconciliation, financial reporting, accounts payable and cash receipts processing. Supervise assigned staff members and ensure appropriate training and development is achieved on an ongoing basis. Oversee management of the organizations corporate credit card administration and transactions including credit limit management and compliance with related policies. Accountable for ensuring that appropriate policies and procedures internal controls are in place and followed to provide reasonable assurance that the assets are protected. Responsible for reviewing monthlyquarterlyannual account reconciliations to ensure compliance. Provide technical accounting GAAP guidance, support, and compliance for nonprofit accounting standards and ensure that company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with policies and GAAP. Ensure compliance with all municipalities including property tax, sales tax and other responsibilities for which the department is assigned. Oversee weekly cash flow by monitoring bank account balances, ensuring payroll coverage and projecting payable check runs. Ensure vendor and other payments are made on a timely basis. Coordinate work relating to both internal and external audits. Responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, resulting from the audit findings. | Skills Required BA Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA. 5+ yrs exp as an Accounting Manager or Controller with supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge of GAAP. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. | |
