Job Description Under general supervision performs and provides quality services to members through financial counseling for mortgage products. Validates all support documents to provide accuracy for the loan file. Accurately inputs loan data to applicable systems to control the flow and timeliness of loans. Serve as a back-up to the Mortgage Loan Opener. Manage and Process HELOCs and 1st Mortgage Loans. Must maintain policies regarding Standards of Conduct and Confidentiality. Process FHA, VA, Conventional and other loan programs. Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets established standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, review and analysis of credit report, and length of employment. Accurately calculate income for all type of borrowers, including complex self-employed borrowers. Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, loan agents and other third parties involved in the mortgage loan transaction. Request, review and verify all loan documents such as income, credit, appraisal, assets and title, to ensure complete and accurate information is in the file before it is sent to underwriting. Obtain verification of deposit, verification of employment, and credit report. Prioritize and monitor daily workflow in order to ensure all loans are being worked on in accordance with the credit unions timeline expectations. Ensure any necessary and critical changes which require re-disclosure have been accurately notated and checked in the LOS for compliance purposes. Coordinate loan closing with members, titleescrow companies, and loan agents. As workload requires, perform Mortgage Documentation Administration Funding duties. Performs other duties as required by the demands of daily operations andor requested by the Mortgage Operations Manager. | |
Skills Required HS Diploma or GED. 3+ yrs of direct mortgage processing exp. Proficient with LendingQB or other paperless mortgage loan origination systems. Understanding of compliance regulations and FHLMC, FNMA, FHA or VA guidelines. | |
